We got a chance to go dog-sledding and we even got to "drive." While driving, the dog immediately in front of Sherry kept looking back at her wondering why Sherry kept applying the brake. During a break in our run, Sherry felt it necessary to explain to the malamute why she did not feel comfortable going as fast as the dogs want to go. The dogs are very competitive and with less weight on Sherry's sled than mine (guess why!) her dogs knew they could go out in front if she just would let up on the brake.
